Our Breeding Philosophy.

 

At Britabuhom, we don't breed for sheer numbers, we breed for quality. We only breed a litter when we think it will be an improvement to the breed and Breton type. This is also why we import dogs and bitches from France and England; to improve the genetic pool in Australia and standardise the Brittany according to the FCI standards. 

 

We don't breed for profit as such, it is more of a hobby that grew. We believe the Breton is the ultimate hunting dog as well as a most loyal and loving pet.

 

Qualities we look for when considering a mating are, first and foremost, the hunting ability of the pair, the conformation and soundness of both Brittanys and their trainability which is a very important aspect of hunting dogs. A dog with questionable temperament is never bred at our kennel.
